In-Services at Your School
Tired of mandatory in-service days with nothing for the music staff? Let us help! Staff at the Wisconsin Center for Music Education can assist you in finding clinicians for the topics you are interested in, regardless of your location.
Previous in-services arranged by the Center include Finale and Sibelius notation software, world music, Comprehensive Musicianship through Performance (CMP) overview, middle school general music ideas, and much more. Contact the Professional Development Manager at 800-589-9762 for details or to arrange assitance for an in-service for your school or district.
In-Services at the Center
Would you rather take a field trip? The Wisconsin Center for Music Education is an excellent location for a district or school music in-service days. Similar to a school in-service, staff at the Center will assist you in locating a clinician for the topic of your choice, but you may choose to hold your workshop at the Center rather than at your own school. This option is ideal for computer-based or recording studio workshops, or for half-day workshops combined with time for exploring the other resources the Center has to offer.
Teachers in the past have also visited the center to explore software in the Yamaha Music Technology Lab, utilize the Curriculum Library in the Richard and Nancy Wolf Resource Center, and peruse the over 8,000 titles in the WSMA Music Festival Library.
Teachers are encouraged to use in-service or other non-school days to take advantage of the resources available at the Center. Feel free to drop in during regular business hours (8:00 to 4:30 Monday through Friday), or call the Center at 800-589-9762 to schedule an appointment. Look for other opportunities to visit on our Field Trips page.
